BETWEEN 'YES & NO'

Scooting to the rest room, our boss instructed the newly appointed System Administrator to fill in for him just in case the US Head Office corresponded on the messenger.  He promised the nervous SA that it would be very unlikely and scurried off. Unluckily for him, the head office chose to knock right then! And the jittery SA felt it would be safe to respond in monosyllables.
This is how the conversation went:

US office: Is A (boss) there?

SA:  No.

US:  Have the files been uploaded?

SA: No.

US:  Are the files over?

SA:  No.

US:  Will they be uploaded before 1800 Hrs?

SA:  No.

US:  What u mean by No???

SA:  Yes.

US:  What Yes???

SA:  No.

US:  Who are you???!!  and who appointed you???!!

(Thereafter the SA decided to remain silent)
